Default Micron Exhaust

I got my Micron Exhaust today and when I pulled it out of the box I noticed it did not have a O2 Sensor hole. I emailed Micron they said that it was just EPA garbage and I did not need it just to order a O2 Sensor blocker. Is this true?? How will the bike know how to set the fuel / air mixture?? Will this be a problem and should I return the pipe and find one that has the O3 sensor hole.
Thanks
Thomas

The bike still runs A/F off the map. My understanding is the O2 on Cali/Late models is only to lean the mix at part throttle cruise for lower emissions. Deleting the O2 means your F4i will run just like mine (not equipped with O2 from the factory). It will adjust fuel based on the map in the ECU not on a closed loop system.

Drawbacks.....you may loose a bit of gas mileage and may produce a little more smog.

Benefits......badass slip-on

If it really worries you, take the midpipe to an exhaust shop and have them install a bung for the O2 sensor. It's really not a big deal.

I got a Micron, too, and the guy said they don't have posted on the websight that the '06 needs a sensor eliminator. It costs about $17.00 + shipping. I had a hell of a time installing the thing because the wiring harness is hidden pretty well where, unless you are an eight year old Indonesian girl, your hands don't have clearance to work. I actually had my fairings off already so I ended up moving the gas tank to get to it...then it took about two seconds.
