this is pretty general question bout bikes, i have an 01 honda cbr f4i. i was wondering how bad rain can be for a bike if you just leave it out in the rain ? wat damage can it do ?

 

They are supposed to be pretty water proof. I don't think you'll see any problems from water. If you can put it in a garage though, I definitely would. It will stay alot cleaner that way.

 

chain and some of the bodywork bolts can start rusting over time... you should get a bike cover at least.

 

no problem riding it in the rain, but just letting it set will cause surface rust on bolts, cause your brakes to rust up, chain, plus just generally make the finish on the bike look like crap. bike cover atleast, or park it in the living room

It gets wet! Jk.....but I've never heard of "damage" being done from riding/sitting in the rain. Although, a friend did get some condensation in his headlight...but he had done projector conversion so the factory glue seal wasent perfect.

As stated before..somewhere on the forum......"Honda thinks of these things (rain) while designing bikes!"
