buy a service and repair manual[ i bought a "HAYNES"} it gives you routine maint and service schedules,ie every 600 mi, every 4000mi or 6 mo, every 8000 mi or 12 mo, etc etc....... it will tell you what too look at and how to do it. Or just keep the bike clean (wash it after you ride) keep the chain lubed and properly adjusted, keep up on the oil and air filter changes(very important)and valve adjustments and plugs when called for you will be fine.Or spend your money on a mechanic they will be glad to take your money.I think you can do all of the above your self other than the valves, you might want some one that knows what their doin do that.hope I helped,[sm=signs003.gif]

Your main thing is chain lube and chain lube and chain lube if the riding overtakes you to long, low leaning turns and wheelies. Chain slack and cleanliness is important to life in your chain and smoothe riding. Breaking in periods are important to your bike engine and all the parts so you have life with a bike.
