Default LP short stalk bulb gets burnt!

Hi, I just installed Lockhart phillips short stalk ll dual filament marker light for front turn signals.
But the bulb 12V23 8W got burnt in a few days.
It was on as running light and flashing at correct rate ok.
Do I get smaller wattage bulb to prevent this?
Any experts out there, please advise!

Thanks

Is it wired correctly?

You probably have the running light on the 23W filament and the flasher on the 8W filament. It should be the other way around.

Hey , i'm running sort of the same, the 12V23/5W. There almost the same thing, but mine burnt out really fast too, and the ones that worked actually burned the plastic casing. [:@]

I'm switching maufacturers cause it's a pain, Good luck

The stock bulb had the same 12V23V 8W.
So I figured I must have wiire it in opposite, running flash on 12V.
Still haven't fixed it yet!!

If it melted then it was wired wrong. The instructions should have warned about that. The running light is the low wattage element.
