Default Lowering

I just put lowering links on my bike and dropped it 1.5". I was wondering if I have to lower the front or not. I was just wondering what other people have done. The bike feels pretty good, me being only 5'7" makes me more comfortable being able to flat foot it. Just wondering what other people have done. Thanks.

Yeah if you lowered the back you need to lower the front, I would keep it stock height if I were you though. Mine use to be lowered but you can't hit the turns hard or really set your suspension right.

Yea I know Im sacrificing handling for comfort but it is pretty easy to bring it back up to stock height I guess. Do I need to put the front on a stand to lower it or bring the forks up through the triple tree?

It can sit on the kickstand, you just have to loosen upper and lower triples and push them down, there are lines on the forks to make sure its even I would lower the front lower than the back. You have to reset your suspension, make it a little tighter too or you'll bottom out or hit the front fender.

Well they way it was explained to me is that think of the engineering they went into the balance and setup of the bike. When you start messing with that it's not good. Besides your not suppose to be able to flat foot.

When the PO of my bike lowered it, he actually put shorter metal sleeves in the forks. Not sure what the benefit was vs pulling the forks through, but I returned the front to stock height.
