You must not live in a hot area. I love in phoenix, 115* is pretty normal during the summer. When its over 100* outside then f4i's will be over 200* even when cruising down the freeway. I've never had mine go over 228* even sitting at a stoplight forever so it doesn't worry me.

Hey just received my sensor today and had a quick question.
Am I basically just cutting the plug off the sensor and grounding one wire and wiring up the other wire to the factory wire?
Once I take the side off this weekend it will probably make sense just trying to get an idea.
Thanks for the help!!

THATS IT!, its so easy. Be ready to use your thumb to cover the hole in the radiator to stop coolant from leaking out. Then you just take the o-ring from the original sensor and put it on the new sensor and screw it in.

Nice, just ordered one. I need to do a flush on my cooling system anyways. Not sure when the last time it was done and I've been running pretty hot sitting at lights lately.

Well I did this yesterday and found out I havent even had a fan for about a year now. There was a plug jammed in my fan that stopped it from working. After changing a fuse I found the sensor was bad so I put in the new one and everything works like a charm. Can't believe it took me that long to figure out my fan wasn't working, guess I just never pay attention to it. Oh and my fan turns on now around 200 which is nice!!
