Default looking at an f4i

i found the bike iv been wanting for sometime now. its a 2002 f4i red/black with 6500 miles on it. its got carbon fiber parts, K&N air filter, power commander, short stalk blinkers, undertail kit, frame sliders, blue gauges, new chain and sprocket, yoshi slip on.

the lowest the seller will go is $5000. i know thats a little steep for an 02. but with all the after market stuff, is that a good price? i dont mind paying a little extra for the bike i want, but if im getting ripped off pretty bad, ill turn away.

$5000 is too much IMO. I bought my 01 with 7400 miles last year for just under $4000. I got it with several aftermarket parts also, and the bike runs absolutely perfect. when I bought the bike I also got 2 helmets with it and a brand new joe rocket leather jacket with it. I have a picture in my profile, and its the same as the day I bought it, actually I put on the rim strips. I dont know what your prepared to spend, but I would try to get the seller down near $4000 at least. Post a pick of the bike and you will get better replies. Also has the bike ever been down?

$5k for a 02? I'd pass. You can get a RR for that easy.

The only mod that would make a price tag like that worth it would be aftermarket wheels, since they run in the $1,500-2,000 range.

Pass. Personally I would stay away from any bike that has a PC on it. Pretty good indication of what type of riding that bike has seen. I just recently purchased a 2002 F4i with 10k miles on it for $3760. It came with the same basic upgrades that that one has minus the filter and PC. The bike also came with a seal/gasket warranty until Feb 2010.

Pass man, you can do most of that yourself for much less. The blinkers: $40. Filter, undertail, and sliders, probably about 350. You get the idea.

Keep looking. I highly doubt he will ever find a buyer for $5,000. You can find that bike at a dealership for that price. You'll find a much better deal out there, you just have to be patient. I was searching for a good 2 months or so. There is always someone out there that NEEDS to sell their bike. This isn't exactly a sellers market right now.

Wayy too much money.

I got my 01 with 5400 miles for $3,600.

Just be patient. It's not going to sell.. If you can't find anything in a month from now, just send him another e-mail and be like, "Listen, you've had your bike up for a long time now. Obviously thats a lot of money for a 7 year old bike. I can do $4,300 today if you're interested.."

Something along those lines.

I got my 01 with 4500 miles for $4000. Bone Stock. Never Dropped MINT. I could probably have got it cheaper but i was the 1st person to look at it and i knew the next buyer in line would pay that much for it. If you got $5000 get an RR or R6.
