Definitly doable, a corbin seat might help out with comfort. Ive never used one before but heard they were awesome

I don't think I could do it. 150 miles is about my limit. I get sensory overload with the wind, noise, back/leg/arm strain, vibes in the bars and pegs, etc.

Wear ear plugs... cheap @ a pharmacy.

Move in the saddle.

Enjoy it.

400 miles is a nice easy day, if you're dressed properly.

+1 - I took a 800 mile trip and would have been completely miserable w/out earplugs, it's amazing the difference it makes. Shift around a lot, you won't need a corbin but if you have extra $ lying around then go for it. Also, take a break every hour for about a half hour, it makes the ride much much more enjoyable.

I would do some long rides before hand so you know what you need. As stated above, the right gear is important when doing a lot of miles. Jeans can start to hurt after about 200 miles.

I've gone 150 miles previously which didn't fatigue me too much so i figued this trip wouldn't be too bad

Im a wuss, I made a ride from new york to buy my bike and then treked it all the way back down to maryland, only took about 4 hours, but I brought 2 other riders with me, and we switched up about every hour or so. I think a break every hour is a great idea. Thats basically what we did. Only problem is I have ADD so Im not sure I could sit around for half hour I would get bored. Try to plan the trip out and pick a couple places to stop by on the way down.
