So why buy a sport bike then? Plenty of other sweet bikes that are not sport bikes out there.

I didn't buy it. I traded an 87 Sportster 883 for it.
I'd rather have a 370lb(dry) fuel injected bike that can corner and stop than a 490lb(dry) carb'd bike that handles like a pig and makes me sweat whenever I see a light turn yellow.

And none of my mods have been or will be permanent. Unless I think I'll keep the bike for a while. The top triple I'm modding is an ebay take-off from an f4, the risers are ebay specials from dennis-kirks scratch n dent outlet, the handlebars I picked up for 50% off with free shipping from a guy on a forum. The longer brake hose, which is all I have left, will only cost about $30 on ebay.

Traded a 25yr old Harley that looked nicer than it was for a 9yr old Honda that is nicer than it looked and making it fit me for less than $150?

Besides... If I do sell the CBR, I'll revert it to stock, and it'll get more lookers on CL than a Sportster that old. And go for a higher price too

They may end up being too high and back with these 30degree risers I found. I'll pm you if I go with something flatter
