Wow nice work on the conversion! I've seen the thread about how to do it. Paint looks like it matched up for the 01-03 tail section to the 05 body.

Thanks, I actually painted the tail fairing with Colorite matched rattle-can paint.

I love the feel of the split seat. It's not as padded as the banana seat but there is enough there to keep your butt comfy on a 2 hour ride.
What i find great about it is that you can feel more of whats going on under you. I like being able to feel the road quality (which can be quite various in Mississippi).
It's good to know when taking curves on the back roads. It's also easier to slide around on (which could be good or bad I guess). It also feels like it sits up a bit higher too.
I'm much happier with the conversion.

Default WHOOAAHHH YEAAHH! 05 F4i

Red/Silver color scheme.
I am impressed by this bike. I've installed the modifications:

Two Brothers M2 Exhaust Carbon Fiber
Two Brothers Juice Box Pro- Preset Map 2 (-1 on each level).
K&N Air Filter.

Stock she was kind of bleh... after the mods this thing is pulling harder and I have to keep her tamed or she pulls up like a freight train. I do want more power in the low and mid range, but my limited understanding is this isn't a traffic fighter bike. I do mainly city riding- I can barely get above 7k on the freeways here in Indy so a lot of the power isn't usable for me. Maybe I should just get better at downshifting. Suggestions welcomed!

MAYBE Drop 1 tooth on the front sprocket...
And then go +2 on the rear.
Low end power won't be a problem

Not the best pics but I'm deployed right now and its the ones my wife took. I just got the bike back in August. I've only rode it a few times while home on R and R. I Got a great deal on it. Its an 05 with only 2,900 miles on it. Never been laid down either. All stock minus rear fender delete kit. I plan on getting brand new tires first because the ones on it now are a bit dry rotted. Any suggestions on tires?

The bike looks good, I really like the 2 tone silver one's. If you search the forum you'll see plenty of info on tires. Stay safe and thanks for your service.

The next best thing to a split seat conversion? A solo cowl that was painted by yourself! Looking to add a DanMoto GP slip-on, black double bubble, and a DDM Tuning HID Kit. =)

Here is my slice of heaven. These were taken right after I picked up the bike. New tires and a tune up were the first things to be done.
