Default Led indicators any kit recommendations?

Thinking about fitting led indicators but unsure what to look at or how they mount but if anyone knows of a good kit with mounting hardware to link me that would be great.

Any aftermarket LED will work. Most will mount through existing holes in bodywork holding existing lights. Worse case, you just need to drill an extra hole or two. Many of them are very dim, pick something with at least 750-lumens output.

You also must do proper wiring install without hacking up factory harness. Instead, install factory OEM connectors onto aftermarket lights so that they are plug-n-play installation. Will also need 2x diodes per light to adapt 3-wire harness connector to 2-wire LED lights (isolates winker signal from marker light so they both work properly). Will also need ballast resistors to emulate load of factory incandescent bulbs to prevent hyperflashing.

Follow my guide here: https://www.600rr.net/threads/diy-co...arness.587929/

1. Use 2-wire Sumitomo connector + bullet connector on LED lights for F4i harness instead of CBR600RR 3-wire connector

2. add 2x diodes per from light to join winker & marker light signals into 1 wire

3. add 50w 6-ohm ballast resistor across winker & ground wires to simulate factory incandescent bulb

After you’ve added proper OEM connector to aftermarket lights, installation is easy plug-n-play like this:

I recently did this. I initially bought cheap indicators from eBay. They worked but in bright light they were too dim. With hindsight, they were a mistake. Don't buy too cheap.

I then replaced them with Oxford Nightrider indicators. SO much better and I'm very happy with them.

I bought connector adapters from eBay to connect the indicators to the loom - they were cheap and work perfectly. An alternative, if you have no future need for your original indicators, would be to snip the cables on your OEM indicators and then solder the connectors to the LED indicators.

I replaced the relay with an LED relay as I felt this would be cheaper and easier than multiple resistors. It also makes it easier to keep the wiring tidy without the bulk of the extra resistors. Incidentally, the Oxford indicators came with resistors so even if you want to use resistors, you don't need to buy separate ones.

For mounting, I designed and 3D printed some very simple little adapters that work at both front and back. I can't seem to attach the STL file but happy to send it if you PM me your email address.

Thanks alot i dug my suzuki led relay out but its completely different found a honda one on ebay.
it was mostly indicators that come with bases as most don't but I just bought the oxford set that hairsy suggested something to do in january when it all turns up.

Nice one i'll pm you with my email for the STL file.

I know what you mean about poor quality LED's i bought a set for my suzuki but they sat in the fairing to much and they were so dull i couldn't be seen so didn't fit them and stuck with the originals i didn't fancy being run over.
i bought a honda LED relay just now and the indicator adaptor wires i don't want to chop anything oh and i bought the Oxford indicators. Only thought about doing it as i'm fitting another front fairing and i have the rear off for painting so may aswell do it while its off.

I’ve found it’s easier to just replace incandescent bulbs in factory lights with brighter LED ones. No re-wiring needed!

I'm respraying the fairing at the moment and thought while i'm at it may aswell get a nice set of indicators jazz it up alittle bit

Update

so i had the indicators on since posting but i have a problem with the led relay. When cold the relay works on left indicator but right indicator i have to hold the button on until the relay warms up then it starts working fine.
I did buy another make of relay and this was even worse but right indicator worked great but now it was the left not working and it would indicate fast and to slow it down i put the lights and high beam on but rev it and it would speed up again.
I put the original led relay back in which is better but is there another make that works properly someone could recommend?
thanks

Sounds like you got mechanical heat-based relay instead of solid-state relay. Does it make clicking sound when used?

Left vs Right difference may be problem with signal switch. Relay doesn’t care about left or right, it has only ONE pulsed power-output that goes to centre of signal switch. Then signal switch sends that pulsed power out to left or right side wiring based upon position of switch.

Inspect entire run of signal circuit from fuse through relay, signal switch out to winkers. You may find some hacked wiring with twisted together bare wires and electrical tape. Sure to cause problems. Restore to OEM connectors.

No there both led relays i know its strange but that 2nd relay was so bad. I could try the resistors that came with the indicators as i have to take fairings back off for the fan switch
