Default launch master / clutch swith

I picked up an MSD launch master off a fellow rider and went ahead and installed it last night. i got to the point of splicing into the clutch switch to enable the launch control. before i did so, i tested the wire agaisnt each side of the switch (at the lever). neither side would activate the launch box. i grounded the wire out against the frame and the box would work. i pulled out the wiring schematics and from what i can see is that the clutch switch is not a grounded signal.

does anyone have an idea how i can hook this up? the signal wire to the launch box, from the clutch line has to be grounded for the box to work. but like i said, from what i can tell, it seems all the clutch wires are actual signal wirings carring voltage, i don't see a ground on the switch wiring.

Thanks for any assistance.

I figure if it is a postive clutch ciruit, i can tee the to a relay, and have the relay be the ground signal for the launch box. any thoughts on this?

Is this designed to retard ignition?
