Question Key won't turn!!

So my bike died on me the other day, not sure if its just the battery or not. Anyway I turned the bike off and jumped the battery. When I went to turn the ignition on the key would not turn . Tried messin with it serveral times and tried the spare key, nothing. Now I'm assuming this is solely a mechanical problem and should have nothing to do with the battery or alternator right? HELP!

Can you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the key on? Does it make any noise at all. a click or anything.Or can you not turn the ignition on at all?

sometimes I gotta f* with my key to get it to turn. Just don't pry on it too much...these things are pretty fragile.

have you tried straightening the key out?

I bent my key while getting gas once, and then afterwards it was a bi@ch to turn. I had to spend some time completely straightening it out before it would turn again.

I tried both keys that I have. Neither worked so I dont think that would be the problem.

Mine does that sometimes... I guess I need a new lock cylinder, but if you mess with it enough, it finally turns. Try putting the key in and keeping slight upward pressure while turning it. Be careful though, breaking that key off would suck.
