Just got my Pitbull stand, what's this thing for?

I got the swing arm kit but I'm wondering what this part is for? (sorry for the huge pic, don't know how to resize..)

That is the wrench thing that goes under the bolt invade u don't have a wrench to tighten the bolt for the lift

Yea I guess, I left mine on. But it's a pain to get it all the way tight so before I use it again I'm taking mine off.
