Just a feeler??
Hey Guys,
Just wanted to get a feeler of what everyone thinks my CBR is worth if I was going to part with it. Here are the details
2004
8k miles
New Set of Pilot Powers (less than 500 miles)
Replaced CCT
Polished Rims
Two Brothers Exhaust
Tinted Windscreen
Undertail
Bike is in great shape, it did go down once at about 10mph....small crack in front cowl, scrape on stator, minor scrape on fairing.
Whats a fair realistic price?

RE: Just a feeler??
He said "part with it", I thought the same thing the first time I read it. I had to go back and read again because I thought why would you part out such a nice bike. I find it funny how our minds automatically go to parting out a wrecked bike. But I would do what he recommended and just check KBB or NADA values and add a few hundred bucks for the pipe and whatnot.

RE: Just a feeler??
bought an 05 last year. two year old bike with helmet and jacket and less than 2300 miles on the bike. Bought it for $5800 in mint condition....so basically $5300-$5500 is what I paid for the 2 year old bike.
I searched for weeks and drove 2 hours to get that bike for that price..Drove to chicago...Local dealer wanted $2000 more for same bike with 100 more miles..I live in Iowa.. You would probably get $4200-$4600 for it...Only saying that high because of the color..Best color scheme out there for that year IMO.... the damage is going to killl you...If it was mint I'd say $5000..Most buyers would rather spend $5000 for a mint one than $4800 for one that's been dropped..Even if just slightly scratched...even that price is a stretch for a 4 year old bike for the "informed consumer"
