Default Just bought this.

From a guy about 150 miles away. Here's the dilemma. I don't yet feel comfortable driving on the Interstate in a big city, so my buddies helping me pick it up this weekend. My question is what will I need to get an f4I to fit in an 04 ranger? Obviously tie-down straps, but will I need to get one of those bed extending ready ramps??
Also is there a certain kind of tie downs I need to get or will any ratcheting ones be ok??

Thanks and I look forward to being part of the community... Even though it's only an f4I it's still a pretty large upgrade from the old FZR I own now.

Not sure about a ford ranger but in my trailor I use 2 ratchet straps at the back hooked to the passenger pegs for the front I have this strap that goes across the bars and on the grips 2 more ratchet straps hook on to it. This strap is available at any bike shop.

yea that's an 05 as well. Just under 2200 miles. I almost picked up a dark red one, but the dealership wouldn't budge enough on their price. Oh well, I can buy tie down straps, a bike ramp/bed extender if needed, pay my buddies gas, and still come out with extra cash.

Thanks EPN for the response. Will these work?? The usa pro grips ones for $10.00 each? I'm guessing that four of them would be enough?

I don't have a problem with buying straps from a motorcycle shop. I'm just thinking that if their regulaur tie down straps they may be over inflated with a motorcycle on the front label.

Nice bike. Congrats. I got mine to fit in the back of an F150. We used an aluminum ramp to get it in and standard tie downs. I think we used 5 or 6 tie downs because I was going from San Fran to Orange County About 6 hours. We even got the tailgate to close.

Ya man, any 3/4 inch ratchet strap is good. But this special bar stap I'm poorly explaining is worth getting because it keeps the straps away from the fairings

Sorry didn't see the next question. I have an suv so I use a trailor and it's bed is plenty big for a bike. But the bike's wheel base is about 57 Point something inches I think, you can look that up on the Honda website. I'd be willing to bet that it will fit in the little truck with the tail gate down.

Sorry my bad. 57 didn't look right, the exact wheelbase is 54.5
