Welcome to the forum, one bit of advice for you....since you already know how to ride.

With great power, comes great responsibility.....Its real easy to rip the throttle and hit 100+ mph. If and when you do, make sure there is plenty of open road and be careful with the power...your bike can go around 145 mph ish...when you get tired of that bike, you can upgrade to the 1000RR like I did.

Oh yah, don't do any wheelies just yet Congrats on the bike!

Ha yeah, I've been doing a lot more clutchless upshifting just to make sure I don't fly off the back when I really get on it

Congrats. That IS a steal. Holy cow. Just respect it. And your brakes will stop your quickly. That's my advice.
Strangely, the brakes don't seem to have significantly more initial bite/stopping power than those on the 250, although I did upgrade the ninja to SS lines. Perhaps a fluid change is in order?

Yeah, I'd tend to agree. But I wanna do some more functional upgrades first before getting to the aesthetic stuff. I want some pazzo shorties and I NEED significantly brighter rear blinkers.

book value is around 4300, probably more for an 06. Looks like you got quite the deal as well...

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll be sure to keep the rubber side down!
