Man, I got a sweet Alpinestars leather jacket for like another $40! Leather is the way to role. If you want, I can hook you up with my contact.

RE: jacket question

Im guessing by the responses that not too many people use
Moto GP jackets. Being new and all, I just want the hard armor
not the soft foam that bends in half.

RE: jacket question

The latest textile jackets are adequate for street use, I would say, but if you can afford leather it will resist abrasion and melting better. Also, I prefer leather for fit and feel - but it can get HOT in the summer . .;)

RE: jacket question

im gonna get a mesh for summer, but unsure between tex. and leather.

does leather come with the hard armor that im looking for.

RE: jacket question

yes, leather comes with hard armor. my alpinestars has hard armor.
as far as mesh...they will melt away in a good crash, just don't go too fast if you're wearing mesh. for just around town and stuff, where you're not going to be going too fast, they will help.
