I'm using the same converter, but before putting the stock wires to the converter, I wired them to the passenger peg LEDs, with out the brakes applied (Brake lights on) the signals flash at the stock rate, but the LEDs flash opposite of the lights in the tail light. Once the brake lights come on, it doubles the flash rate because of the LEDs. IMO it gets the attention of the person behind you better.

Those $12 converters sure beat the $100+ "Integrated bike specific conveters"[:'(]
Mine does the same thing all thought I don't have the led passenger pegs. However I do have watsen design led turns in the front. It bothers me but hopefully it's a little more noticable sense it's always hard to see blinkers in a integrated tail anyways

Check ebay. Mine was a fiberglass one from a pimpbikes ebay store. Heres a link to one like mine.

The seller is a very friendly guy. He answered all my calls and E-mails and also gave me the idea for using my stock taillight. He talked me through the wiring of my new light. A+++++ Seller.

He got lucky on ebay. If you search there is probably a new thread about undertails every week.

I bought a taillight intigrater with my bike 3.5yrs ago. It just died the other day and 45,000 miles later. Obviously I wasen't impressed so I replaced it with a clear alternatives taillight. Uses the stock wiring and you can actually see it at night compared to the dim stocker.

Something lasted 45,000 miles and you are complaining?
