Insurance: First Post
Whats up? This is my first post on the forums.
Anyway, Im looking into getting a F4I. I just got a quick online quote from progressive for 12months of insurance for 4,200/year!!!!!!!! Monthly payments break down to be roughly 363.
I feel this is outrageous, especially when I know a few bike owners. He told me he pays 800-1000/year on TWO bikes. Of course he is a 30 something year old man, and he owns a gsxr 600. The other bike on the insurance is some 250cc thing, not worth knowing.
So, heres the question. What do YOU pay yearly? Bike? Age? Insurance Company?
My stats: 19 yrs old, no accident history, valid license.
Any help would be great
Thnx

19, clear history, no tickets or accidents....Country Insurance....$330 per year, 04 f4i, but also have my truck (03 ranger) with them, and to get such cheap bike insurance on a 600cc, the truck doubled from 900/yr to 1750/yr
$280 per year.
Full coverage, + $1000 medical coverage
'06 F4i
26 years old, no accidents, lots of tickets
State Farm.
It's getting seriously retarded seeing how much these companies are quoting - ripping off people. Anything more than $1000 per year, tell them to shove it directly up there *** sideways.

How on earth do you guys find such cheap insurance? I bought an '02 F4i last year and had to skip collision coverage because every quote I got was over $2000. The cheapest I found was Progressive for $750 / year with only comprehensive. I was 24 then, no accidents, a couple of speeding tickets (both more than 20 over limit
) and I live in Boulder, CO.

i have full coverage and full theft on my 05 f4i ...
320 dollars for the entire year through progressive
granted when i bought the bike in cash i put it in my fathers name and so is the insurance... so for a 50 year old go driving an 05 f4i with a 22 year old as a "once in a while" driver.. it's 320 a year

State Farm: $280 per year. Limits are 25/50 and full coverage.
I don't know anyone that has been able to beat State Farm's prices. When I called progressive and Geico I was getting quotes in the $1500 to $2000 range (annual).

I'm 29 and use State Farm. $404 a year for full coverage. dec 250/500. Oh yea, clean record (driving).
2006 CBR600RR
If they had told me 1000 + I wouldn't have bought one. It was $606/year for the CBR1000RR.

I have Progressive, and I pay $189.00 a year for 2 bikes. That is not full coverage. But, now after this past weekend with what happened to my friend’s bike and I see what other people are paying for full coverage. I am going to switch.
State Farm, about $500 per year; $500 deductibles; you have to have your car insured with state farm as they don't offer insurance for only your bike; they base the rates on the cc's, so your 600 would be even less
