I highly recommend the 55w kit. Spend the extra $15 and get more light. Plus, the stock bulbs are 55w anyway. Also, I don't recommend going above 5000k, you start losing light output the higher you go above 5000k.

I would advise away from 55W. The majority of owners here run 35W for a reason. 55W has a good chance of melting your housings (I actually think theres a thread with pics where it did melt someone!) Get whatever k (kelvin/color) you want! I personally love my 8,000k's

Oh and industrial double sided velcro sounds like a good idea thanks!

Screw velcro. Go to radio shack and pick up their snap lock strips. I can't remember what they are called but its a bunch of small bristles with little ***** on the end. Once you lock them together have fun trying to take them apart.

Edit: "3M Dual Lock"

I went with the 35w kit after seeing images of melted housings from the 55w kits.
Yes it's SLIGHTLY more light, but too much heat. 35w is more than enough and blindingly bright.

Yes the stock bulbs are 55w but thats comparing apples to oranges. completely different setup.

I may not be searching with the right terms, but all I have found is claims of 55w melting the housing, I haven't seen any actual evidence. Can someone link me to a thread?
