I rode my buddies 2006 GSXR 1000 and didnt like it at all. Yea its got power but my R1 is so much more comfortable, not just with the seat but riding position and Im more comfortable turning and cornering. A buddy that has a 1997 CBR 1100XX that has a stage 3 jet kit, exhaust and down 1 in the front thinks my R1 is faster, Im not sure tho.

The 07 gixxers are way more comfortable then the 06s are.

Hey guys its been a week and 300 miles since I got the R1 and I love the bike, handles great and the power is awesome. I went and joined the R1-forum and the guys seem to be a$$ holes over there, nothing like this forum. I had a little scare today while doing a stand-up wheelie came down and she went into the worst tank slapper I have ever been in, it didnt throw my hands off thank god but I throttled out of it and saved it. Time for a steering damper. Later guys, ride safe.
