Depends, did you just start it in the middle of winter and it's 20 degrees out? I think the answer you're looking for is ohhhhh say 1100?? Mine is at 1500 I think I'll adjust the idle tomorrow when I wash my baby. I would say anything over 1500 is too high IMO. /shrug

Manual says 1300 (+/-100). Make sure it is well warmed up before you adjust it.

Adjustment is against the left side fairing, by your knee. Mine was at 1500 ish. I have a micron pipe and it idled a bit rough. Dropped it to about 1100 and it sounds better. Gotta get it tuned right still. For most sportbikes i bet 1400 to 1100 is a good idle.
