Idle Adjustment Cable Help
I was messing with my idle adjustment cable the other day and stupidly was trying to adjust the idle before letting the bike warm up so i ended up turning it too much and the cable came out. I have all the pieces but i cant seem to find where it goes to put it back. This is on an 06 F4i. I have done lots of searching on the forums but haven't found anything that looked to match up with my bike at all. I went so far as to prop the gas tank up and look around under there but i didnt want to remove the airbox unless 100% necessary. Any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a picture of the wax unit, located on the lower left side of the throttle bodies. Here you can see were the idle adjustment cable is attached. You'll have to remove the airbox to access it.

I have a 04-cbr600rr and idle cable stopped turning and got fix on 2300 RPM and wouldn’t go back down-- I removed the air container and got to the throttle and undo and replaced the throttle cable--
But Now the Idle runs on 1100 RPM (which is kinda low) and idle cable turns but doesn’t lower or rises the RPM --- I re-pint my bike and change bunch of **** on it and cant freaking wait to ride it and just cant do that without the perfect 1400 idle-- How would I adjust the idle and if the answer is the cable idle ---then why my brand new cable that I just installed doest lower and raises the rpm-- Did I install it wrong????? I would really appreciate if you or anyone could help-- Sam |

You might even think its as far as you can turn, BUT it's only starting to work. So, continue to turn the knob because this is when its starting to open the flap and the RPM will go up. |

You have not turn the idle adjustment knob far enough yet. Turn the knob clock wise until you think it's pushing against the wax unit flap.

Service Manual states on p 3-17 and Owner's Manual pp 111-112,
Warm up the engine for about 10mins. Turn the throttle stop screw as required to obtain the specified idle speed. Idle speed (in neutral): 1,300 +/- 100 rpm Moses |

It Feels like my knob isn’t tightening at all? |
You able to do it without taking the airbox off?
