i was up on one by accident
[&:] it's not cool that it was by accident. I'm glad i always ride with my wits about me so i knew what to do when it came back down. I was only up about a foot in the air so nothing too scary....after doing it.... i don't understand what's so hip about it? i mean, i think it's way more sweet to watch rossi turn on the twisites then some dude being up on one... could just be me though.
but at least i know how to do eeeeet now.

Good to know that you have your wits with ya at all times. Wheelie is nothing but a trick. Some people like them and some do not.
Now be honest! Did you get major tank slappage after bringing the front down hard? If you did, then I think thats why you were put off from the allure of a wheelie. <My opinion.

I haven't really tried to bring the front up but kinda have- and couldn't do it. The torque of the bike kinda has me scared of the whole thing. I was a friend of mine do it on the same bike before I got it so I know it is capable. What gear and RPM's are you in?

RE: i was up on one by accident
Well unfortunately where i live theres not much for twisties, but there is lots of long country roads, so all said, a lotta people around here can do long stand ups, sit downs, high chairs, spreaders, what ever. stoppies are fun to but key is to learn them slow!! and work ur way up. Although we definately all love to get out to the twisties when we can theyre about 1.5 hrs away. i think everyone should know how to wheelie, they dont have to be good, but at least know what it feels like and how to handle it if it happens on accident like in this case.
