Does anyone know where i can get an upper cowl for a decent price?

 

Ebay is the shizzle for parts! I couldn't find a decent used one for my bike but I got a brand new OEM Honda upper cowl for $350, which is a good deal cheaper than getting it from Honda. The used ones are even cheaper, but you gotta look for one in good shape

 

i had one on ebay for about 200 but i didnt know if i wanted to spend that much on one but i guess if 350 is a good price then i might as well go for it.

Is fiberglass ok like is it just as good as plastic? if it is im going to get it! Thanx

 

fiberglass is way lighter and cheaper but not as durable as ABS...but easy to fix...but you gots to paint them too.
you have to make sure that it works with stock fairings...some don't and you need aftermarket ones from the same manufacturer, but this is more so for face plastics...if it's stock with light cut out...should work.

 

My whole bike is primered down right now. I'm getting ready to paint it so that doesnt matter. If i do need to cut something for it to fit what do you think would need to be cut?

 

i can see what you do on that bike. If your going to continue doing that your gonna want that fiberglass upper fairing. Its much stronger than stock plastics and its cheaper too. Only problem is that you have to paint it. With that particular fairing in that auction you wont have to cut anything. it will bolt right up to the stock side fairings
