I'm pretty good at electrical (save for hooking sh*t up backwards!) I've taken 3 college electrical classes and one in HS and have been playing with it since I was about 15.

I have a diode installed in the ignition switch giving me 7.8ish volts to the pink wire. This may still be an issue but it's not the only problem. (I found a nine volt power supply to test it and still no prime)

I put a noid light on the coils-No pulse

Didn't get to test the injectors for pulse yet.

Any other thoughts??

Does anyone have a known good PCM laying around that I could borrow and maybe buy?

Edit: I also tested the BAS (bank angle sensor) and that checks out ok

And to think all I wanted to do today was fire it up so I could catch up on some chain maintenance :/

Hey jp I don't know how to test the ecu, but since you shorted bigtime, my bet is that it is fried... sorry if that's the case bro.
My cousin fried is in the same exact way and an Euro spec ECU around here is
1300$!!!
Don't you have a friend with an f4i that can swap it just to test it?

Good news and bad news. It's not the ECU.

Not the kill switch (couldn't remember if I already checked that so I double checked)

Going to revisit the ignition diode tomorrow...
