You don't have sliders?
id rather mess up & replace fairings then cut holes & have that ugly thing sticking out, plus I hear no cut does worse the good.
are you kidding?
that does not make any sense, if you had extended sliders you would not had to order anything right now.
you should really rethink about making some holes.

Turn it round the other way so gravity help keep it in place.

!!
How steep is your drive-way? I always do the same thing, start my bike and walk to garage to close it.
I've never thought about this could happen.
Anyway, good luck with repair and thank you for great info.

unless you're a big time baller who can replace your fairings all the time and get them painted, then please get the sliders... i would compare the frame sliders to auto insurance: you hate paying for the premiums (dont like the ugly holes in fairings) but it's there when you need it (frame sliders there to prevent your situation, WHEN YOU NEED IT!!!)

no cut frame sliders catch falls like that without getting bent?

i was actually looking at the Woodcraft frame sliders today. The look like the type to take a monsterous beating, and are still good looking. I just cant stand the look of the plastic black bars sticking out of a bike.

As for the current plastics, they've aged quite a bit, the rear plastic has the fat-man cracks on the bottom of the seat, and the fairings on the other side (go figure) were scrached from the person who owned it before me. When i replace the plastics, i'll most likely get the woodcrafts to protect my investment.

thanks for the advice kids!

as for the driveway, it's asphalt (i'm in hermosa beach) and it's a V shape so it has a low point in the center. before the fall, i would place the kickstand in the middle of the valley of that V.

now the whole bike rests in the valley when the door is being opened/closed.

Oh, and i'm totally making my clutch lever as a necklace when i get the new levers in. haha... imagine the conversation possabilities!
