How to wheelie from an F4i owner
#12
i use to power wheelie and it's kinda hard to do so on a f4i unless you seriously go full throttle. I later did a -1 front sprocket and made it slightly easier to power wheelie... Then I learned clutch. At 10mph.. easily pull throttle and pop clutch and it wants to go 12o'clock easily! few times on accident thinking I was in second and popped clutch... well relized i was actually in first.. and bike flew up to 12 very quickly!! thankfully i had foot on brake and let off throttle..
f4i is a monster for wheelies... it's also has the best balance point of every bike and also considered the most indestructable bike there is. Reason F4i's are considered the king of stunt bikes.

probably not the best advise for someone just starting to do wheelies. having him pull it up at 65mph is just asking for trouble.

I completely agree. Before you go try it checkout youtube to see what happens when you screw up. Going off the back will screw up your bike like nothing else.
I like 2nd gear wheelies because the bike does not come up or go down as fast. I personally think they are the easiest wheelies. Like anything though practice makes perfect. Get comfortable on your bike and work your way into it. Weather it's clutching it at 10mph or standing up and cracking it at 65mph.

Ok, can someone give an advice how to bring the front down gently when you end the wheelie?
I am doing it occasionally, and from time to time when I get scared thinking I'm to close to balance point (and yes, I know I am nowhere near it, btw), I just squeeze clutch, and my front just bangs to the ground heavily...
I know it's not the best thing for my front fork, and that is why I am asking the question.
Thanks.
p.s. - yes, I know that theoretically I am supposed to bring the front down by closing the throttle, and then while the front is coming down get some throttle more, but that is just a theory for me right now, and until I get to that level - what should I do while using the clutch..?
