how to wheelie??
I am new to bikes all together, I have logged about 800 miles on my bike so far, thats all the experiance I have. But I am excelent at wheelies on my KFX400, so I do know how to controll the clutch and ride the BP. I have put my bike up a few times so far, mainly by pulling up/accelerating as I crest small hills, that's pretty easy. I also managed to bring it up to about 8 grand in first and slowly power it up. This gave me the best result, which was about a 10o'clock wheelie for about 30 feet. Not bad for a first timer I suppose.
Wheelies are dangerous for guys that have been riding for decades on end much less guys with less than a year under there belt (like myself). Don't do anything stupid. IMHO wheelies and stunts all together are over-rated and do alot to stereotype sportbike riders as squids and arrogant idiots. Don't get me wrong though, it's awesome to see someone in a controlled enviroment pull off a stoppie then hit up a twelve o'clock, that's raw talent. It just gets ridiculous when I see that stuff on public roads.

Nice, about your 10 o'clock wheelie for 30ft. I'm trying to go for distance. My standing wheelies are not so great. Its hard to maintain the throttle when you get it first off the ground. But i'm not giving up yet. You got any tips or suggestions?
