Default How to plugs

ok so i have an 01 f4i and yesterday i had the whole bike apart just replacing and keeping mantiance up, i cleaned and replaced the air intake, changed sprokets and chain and all that good stuff, i went to change my plugs and ran into somewhat of a problem, i removed the tank and air box and got to plugs but was unable to get a socket into the engine to remove the plugs, their is a support bar that runs directly across the engine and right above the plugs, how do people get in their to replace them, any help would be great thanks

It's a PITA. I got to mine from the side. three from right, one from left. I'm assuming you have the stock spark plug wrench. You have to pull out the coils by wiggling them by hand, (remember order of coils!) then maneuver the plug wrench in there, and loosen the plugs. What you'd expect, just a lot harder than it should really be.
