Default How not to tie-down your bike

I've trailered my bike many times and never had a problem.

I usually run a tie-down from each fork tube and on each passenger peg.

Well, had a problem with that this weekend.

Cheap-*** welds.....

Were the scrapes on the peg from this incident or previous? I'm wondering if the weld was damaged due to a previous incident.

Damn, I didn't know those welds on the rear pegs were that weak...but I guess they're not designed to hold up to a lof of weight anyways. I bought one of those Canyon Dancer Bar Harnesses...I know it's kind of a gay name but they worked really well. I've only used them once when I had my bike in the back of my truck on the way back home they day I bought it, but I'm pretty happy with them. No scratches and you don't have to anchor the straps to the front forks. http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...-57-CDANC.html

I can just weld that back for ya man if you just want to pay to buy me a mig welder and the shipping costs I used to weld seat frames together for Toyota so it wouldnt be to hard.

after my bike fell on the way to Nopi Nationals 2 years ago (paint was 2 days old!!!) I bought a canyon dancer. Best $30 i ever spent. Everyone that sees how easy and safe it is say they want one.
