I'm planning on buying my wife a new 05 F4I and the price is 7999 OTD, Well I found this one a couple of blocks from me and I'm considering purchasing it also but its been dropped on both sides . I'm trying to figure out what it might be worth considering the damage. On the positive side its a 2004 with 1945 miles on it, it also has a four year transferable warranty on it but I'm not sure exactly how much time is left on it, the damage is minor, no cracks or broken parts, no marks on th pipe, you can tell it was dropped while sitting still or with little or no forward movement, they are asking 6500 but are flexible in thier price, I think they would take 6k but I dont think I would be willing to pay that much since I still have to pay taxes on it. I dont want to insult them by offering them a price thats way to low but I also know Im not willing to pay any thing over 6k for it if that and thats including taxes. my wife is new so theres a good chance she'll drop it too so I wont repair or replace the scratched stuff for at least a year to give her time to drop it too. I need to decide if I'm going to make an offer or lead them to this sight to try to help them sale it, they are really nice people and I would like to help them sale it if I decide not to make an offer, oh and I'm sorry for the pics , I still dont know how to properly post pics here, the way I do it on cbr1100xx and the hayabusa sights , doesnt work here,

6500 for damaged 04 F4i, IMHO, is too much. I live in So Cal and F4i resale value (from a dealer) should be around 6000 or less even for cleanest 05 model. I can buy a clean used 05 ZX-6R for 6500 in LA area tomorrow! With some damages, I would certainly negotiate to get repair cost off from the price like down to 5500. No one would buy a damaged bike even if it's minor if they have other options. I don't know of the f4i market value in wherever you live so apologize if I'm way off.

No I dont think you are off, I was also thinking about 5300 or so would be a fair price, comsidering the damage and I still have to pax taxes . I guess your in So Cal? have you ever dealt with LA Cycle Sports? thats where were going to get the new F4 believe it or not they want 9200 plus fees here in fresno for a red 05 F4, I've never bought a bike here, I go north or south, the have a monopoly here , theres no competion so theyll screw you all day long.

 

I haven't been to LA Cycle. I'm like a hour North of LAX. I wouldn't pay 9000+ for F4i. A new 06 model goes for 8499+Tax and etc in my area now.

 

just FYI La cycle sports have 05 F4I's for 7999 OTD right now.

 

I just bought a '05 F4i with 2400 miles for $5700. No damage, and 10 months manufacturer warranty.

I can't believe the deal I got.
