For the cost of just two speeding tickets, you can pay for a track day.

1 week. I ride the highways all the time. Since this is my only transportation I can't always go looking for fun backroads when I need to get somewhere. Wish I could though..
**** highways Im in Los Angeles **** scarred me, even streets scarred me.So I took the streets to work for about two weeks then began hitting the highways on the downtime of traffic. I think it helped alot.
I am buying my first sportbike tomorrow.
Having a friend ride it back on the highway for me.
I am sure I could handle it, but since I can arrange otherwise I did.
I am not in a hurry to ride on the highway, though I am not opposed to it here and there in lower traffic hours.

I waited until I was really comfortable with my bike, which was like 3 full days of riding it. I made sure I had all my gear on, and I did it at night, when not many people were around. This was when I was riding my Ninja250
