i never put spools on f4i. before i do is there aynithing i need to know beside drilling?

 

what year do you have? i have an 02 and you need the pitbull weldable adapter or like me i used the lockhartphillips rivet kit.

I did the same thing, just used a Pitbull kit. A lot of people say you're going to hit your exhaust on it but I have no problems.

 

there are weld on kits, and yes the other one is drilling...

or someone else wrote a write up using the rear axle bolt!

Could you point me in the direction to purchase the rivet kit for the spools. Thanks I have looked but cant come up with anything.

well here is what i did, first you have to call lockhart phillips directly (google them for the number) then tell them you want the rivet kit (part number available in link above) tell them you want to upgrade your track bike and this is what you want to do, and that all the distributors told you they dont carry them (cause they dont i checked believe me) after that they will tell you well we dont normal ship anything under 75 dollars and then they will do it for ya i think it was about 24 or 27 dollars for them. but you still have to buy the spools of course and the kit in the above link is for 8mm
