I'm normally running around 180 somethin, I do alot of country driving so I dont have very much stop and go. I also run engine ice which keeps my temps down.

if your sitting in traffic it will get hot but they love getting out in the road so yes it will get anywhere between 200 to 250, don't worry as long as your fan kicks on

Riding around its about 175-180. In traffic I've seen about 215. This is running engine ice. Before, when running honda OEM coolant, riding around was similar, 175-185, but in traffic it would spike to about 230, with the fan kicking in around 225. I don't think I've had the fan kick in since using engine ice...

has anyone tried "water wetter" ? coolant additive from Redline i belive
I ran it in my bimmer. Worked great. I hear people that drive in warm climates only use water wetter instead of coolant
Bike motor = VERY different from car motor. Run whatever coolant your manual tells you to.

I don't know, they work the same way, when they get to a certain temp a thermostat opens and coolant starts flowing. Manuals can't tell you how to maintain a regularly beaten on engine though, as I'm sure most of us here see 5 digit rps on a daily basis, edit: it's mainly the stoped traffic though.so the need for a cooling additive could be present. And redline brand isn't just some off the shelf stuff. I only added a about a liter and it, you don't need to run only watter wetter (it is a bit expensive).
