how far do you guys have to go for good roads?
Best roads for me are right off of my driveway! The reason they are the best roads is because they don't have any cracks in the roads in my subdivision. Outside of that I DESPISE driving to work, the roads are all bumpy and cracked and its sooooooooooooo uncomfortable. I don't even know where to ride around here in WI. I guess I could go to the freeway thats pretty smooth but then there's too much to worry about and not really a good view or anything. After my 20 minute ride to work I want to sell my bike.

maybe you guys need to get the map out and look for the better roads. Thats what I did. also find the nearest river and look for back roads. the best roads we have here are going up Mt. Saint Helens on one side and coming down the other.
Well I know that to get the roads I like I need to head down toward oregon a way's. Everything here in N. Washington is relatively straight. I have found a few good roads, nothing to write home about. I am in love with Hwy 224 east of Estacada, OR. Little to no traffic, twisty, beautiful.
bikesnjeeps-- head out towards Diablo Lake, or a short ride up Chuckanut Dr... Or up HWY 9 to Mosquito Lake Rd... Just a few in the area that aren't relatively straight--probably already on your list!
I'm right on the foothills of the rocky mountains, edge of denver, so 5 minutes to get to the twisties. I usually go out at least once a weak through the mountains for a couple hours.
