Default How do I reconnect?

I took the gas take off of my 05 F4i so that I could replace the air filter, but when it came time to reassemble the bike I couldn't figure out how to reattach the gas tank to the air tube thingy. I need some advice, am I missing pieces?

The two "T-shaped" spacers look like the ones that go in the rubber mounts in the front of the tank. They aren't fun to put in place because they come up from the bottom. (Slide inserts into rubber from bottom, put bolts in thru inserts from top, fasten to frame)

Your on your own with the screws though...I don't use those plastic covers.

Are you asking about reattaching the vent covers? Those should just screw in. I think there might be a notch that slips under the tank, and then, you put the bolt in last. It may be easier to see if you remove the side fairing and then reattach the vent cover.

Those spacers should go in the rear of the tank where the seat mount is.

I've tried every variation, and there is no female end to thread the bol thrut. The spacer is hollow, and I dont so a hole where to screw in the bolt. Yes I'm tring to trattach thr plastic parrt back to the gas tank, their is a hook, but it keeps coming undone at speeds. This is pissing me Offffffffffff!

The rubber goes in the hole on the side of the tank... then the screw goes through the air duct cover hole and into the female rubber peice. It connects the air ducts to the tank....

Do you know anybody with an F4i? Having another one right next you would make it easy to put it all back together again.
