Horn???

RE: Horn???
i have a 2 brothers pipe that is PLENTY loud that i use to get attention from people daydreaming. but i do use my horn.
for instance......if im going down a 2 lane road in the left hand lane and traffic in the right hand lane is bunched up w/ tailgaters....as im passing i'll slide my thumb over the horn JUST incase....people who are tailgating are likely to dart out when they see a opening big enough for them to squeeze in and are in too much of a hurry to make 110% sure its clear. so when i am in situations like that i keep my thumb ready to beep at'em

RE: Horn???
yea i have a two bros too, and it IS plenty loud. the other day i was riding and coming up passed my friend... just as i got to him i gunned it as hard as i could and it shot up to about 12k rpms. when we got to the next stop sign he said, "dude u scared the crap outta me. ive never been right behind it before" lol.
but yea i used my horn, ( i just used it today when i honked at my friend as he was turnin onto a road, and i was leavin the gas station ) and i hit it accidentally too, then ppl in cars look at me like, WHAT? haha

RE: Horn???
Sometime I use my horn to get the attention of the riders im with. Others it is when someone is coming into my lane, or before they do and I think they might. I had a Fiaam (sp?) horn on my 250 that I just put onto the CBR yesterday. It is deeper than a car horn, and way louder than stock, something like 120 db. Great upgrade for safety, and it eliminates the annoying sound of the stocker.

RE: Horn???
I would love nothing more than to take a handfull of rollerbearings from work and put them in a baggie for that exact situation. The only problem with that is what happens to the motorcyclist that has to ride through that later. Not too smart. Thats the same reason that I dont spit my gum out onto the road, and always throw it in the grass on the side. I hate gummy boots.
