look @ your stator cover . and plenty of things could/should be salvaged but because it was never reported to anyone it allows you to keep the clean title even though it should carry a salvaged title .

exactly... i dont see any other reason to throw a 2000 F4 frame on it. usually a bike has to go down pretty hard to do that the the stator cover and mess a frame up so bad that it has to be replaced. but that may just be my opinion

unless the bike went down and the guy did a conversion on it F4< F4I. because im sure the plastics were messed up and that would explain the reason for it being a 00 and motor/body of thef4i . just one theroey (sp?) anyways talk to the dude you boughtit from.dont be all like "dude what the **** did you sell me !" just tell him that you understand the deal is done but you think some things arent rightand you want some questions answered so you can handle it.

Hmm.. interesting.
Bike is definitely a mutt. Tailsection and Fairings are F4i.
Both lower fairings have cutouts for frame sliders but have no frame sliders in them! My guess EBAY material...
Passenger seat is a matching color seat so that tells me '02-'03 model year.
We need more info and pics please!

I'm guessing that the bike was wrecked or wrote off for some reason- and the frame you have is from an F4. Swapping frames means that you can use a clean frame to get a clean title - a clean title is worth a whole bunch more than a salvage, and way more than a off-road only title.
The frames were interchangeable with some work to be donetransitioning to the F4i rear sub-frame.

I agree the subframe of an F4i is black...but man that looks almost identical tomy 03 F4i.
I would definitely talk to the guy who you bought it from and ask him how bad he laid it down.
Also, on the Vin number it should show what the original colors/paint is. So if he did wreck it and it's a different paint job you can confront the guy.

I can't believe it took two pages to get areacodes thought. Something definately sounds jacked up. When you told your insurance company what you had didn't they say there wasn't a listing for F4i in 2000. I would get a motor check on engine numbers before you get blamed for stolen parts.
