Default Holy Crap Cold

So it's getting to be that time of year where its cold as all h***. I checked the weather, no biggie, nice and shinny out a little nippy. So i rode the bike out last night to Boston to be with the girl and watch some Red Sox. The smart guy that I am, I checked the morning forecast for boston's temps as well before a left, a balmy 45 degrees. Little did I suspect that in my hour commute to work from boston to worcester that the temps would be below freezing with frost on the ground. I had on 3 pairs of gloves, 3 jackets, neck warmer, winter riding overpants and riding boots. My whole body was fine but my finger nearly fell off. I actually drive past work to get to my house so i wouldnt look like an idiot running around work near frostbit doing jumping jacks trying to get the blood flowing. All i can say is DAMN. So if anyone has some recomendations for winter riding gloves, trhow them out here for me! I saidI would make it till the first snow before I put the bike up, now not so sure.

I rode for a couple hours yesterday evening (from Boston to Gloucester and back). I have a pair of Power Trip Dakota gloves ($60 lined cruiser style) and they worked well enough, but I think under 50 degrees the highway is going to be chilly no matter what you do. My throttle hand was worst because I couldn't hide it behind the double bubble like the rest of my body.

It was 40 when I left for work this morning. I opted to take the T.

the front fairing deflects a lot of the wind from your hands... but it never seems like enough. I wish the radiator was higher up so i can rest my palms on it at traffic lights... and maybe warm up some coco?

I've been rocking my A* ST-1 gloves lately. Rode into work this morning (~37F for 30 mins), and I was fine. My fingers were a bit cold, but not too bad. I would highly recommend them.

wear latex gloves under your gloves. it will reduce the wind cutting through and they are good insulators.

I wear a scarf to keep the windfrom hitting my neck and going up my helmet... I cover my neck and part of my chin with the scarf.
