Default Help with MPG

I am running super rich on my 01 f4i. Like 20MPG. The only thing that i did recently was put a 07 R6 pipe on it. Because it looks Pimpy . Could this have caused the problem? I have done some research and found it could be the Fuel Pressure Regulator. But since i am really strapped for cash i need to know befor i buy something.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If anything, that pipe would make you run lean. Pull the vacumm line off of the FPR after its been running. If there's fuel in that nipple/hose, then it needs replacement.

Do you have said pictures of the pipe you can throw up? I'm looking for something a little sleeker.

The exhaust will make it run worse but not 20mpg worse. Change your FPR.

Even more basic- what's your riding style? You redlining every time before you shift, that sort of thing? Not that it might not be something mechanical, just something else to consider. Depending on whether I'm behaving or not I can get quite a few more mpg than otherwise.

Also check your plugs and air filter, this all affects your MPG.
