Found this earlier when stripping off the fairing is it some sort of tuning box?

Oh so thats what it is thanks alot i've ripped it out now as half of its missing its not much use

It was less use than Wayz, google maps, apple maps etc - old tech unfortunately.

There was one technology that was announced and I was very excited about. It was detector that picked up the cops themselves!! It was tuned to pick up small radio that cop wore to relay audio to their car. With limited range under 1/4-mile, you knew for sure cop was nearby if it went off. Regardless if they were hiding in bushes with radar on or off.

Unfortunately, too many PDs probably complained of loss revenues and product never made it to market.

that sounds like a scanner thieves used to use scanners years ago to listen to the police not sure about now though but I guess with technology now theres a dodgy app you could get somwhere. My mate used to listen to the police on his clock radio in his house back when it was analogue hehe things you used to be able to do

Yeah, nowadays lots of communications is encrypted digital. At least between car and home-base. I bet most of the short-distance relay between cop and his car is still analogue though.
