Lol yea, I've found to much info online to know that's BS! I pretty much left it at that with him!! Lol
I'll see what's up with it when I get it home and start tinkering with it. I'll keep ya posted!

I know that's probably just me wishing it's something simple and a cheap fix!! Lol
So you think the shop did all that work but won't hook up a charger or jumper to crank the bike and see if all that work they did actually helped or not?
I have this guy telling me the below. I checked his profile and the only bikes on there are cruisers. I really want to be a smart *** and go back n tell him when he starts working on sportbike then come and tell me about it!!
So a person who works on vehicles for a living offers up an opinion and your ready to talk crap? How very mature of you.

Like I said, that's just wishful thinking on my part. Your going to say you never hoped somebody was telling you something incorrect so the news wouldn't be so bad??? If not, than good for you!!

The portion I shared was just 1 of his comments. If I had a problem with people giving their opinions, I wouldn't have posted on here. Him and I went back and forth for quite a bit about this issue. What i have a problem with is someone that thinks they know everything and talk to me like I'm an idiot because I'm a female. I'm not really sure how I was talking crap anyway. I was asking for opinions on his statement. I've had about 20 or so different people tell me differently, that it would not mean the motor is gone. When I went back to him on it he told me "If it jumps it's done".
So do you agree with that??

Well guess I won't have to much to do break it down and figure out what's wrong. Here's how the shop gave it back to me today. Along with a before pic.

I'd say good riddance to bad business.

If you are willing to give it a go I bet there is enough experience on these forums to help you out.

Worse case you have to find another place to work on it.

Sometimes, we could all have done better in a situation. Maybe the shop is very busy and the guys are under pressure from customers and bosses, who knows ?
It is what it is and you now have the bike back.
Our forum has a wealth of knowledgeable people who are more than willing to help anyone who asks for assistance.
How are you with sockets and spanner’s ? Do you have a reasonable toolbox to work with ?
Lets get you back on the road.

Yes, that's the plan, I'm pretty mechanically inclined. Lol I've done a bit of work on it already and don't mind getting my hands dirty. Figure I'll do as much as I can with the help of these forums and if that doesn't get it going, I'll find someplace.

Yep, I got my dad's tool box when he passed and he was a mechanic for a living. It's got pretty much everything in it, and I've added to it with more bike related tools since I've had the bike. Lol
Yes, let's!! I haven't ridden in 2 weeks was already twitching and chain smoking after 1!!🤣😂

I've already said I do not and what I think is the correct course of action. I really think you got a bad shop and the bike is fixable.
