Default Help

New to the forum can’t find any answers.

2006 f4i starts good, runs fine for about 2 miles. Then starts chugging, if I let off throttle it will die. Takes about 20 minutes sitting before bike will start again. Thinking fuel issue of some sort. Could it be injectors? Bike has about 20k on it and I doubt they have ever been changed, possibly not getting enough spark? Trying to figure out where to start any idea is helpful. Heard it could be FPR but the fact it does and won’t start for 20+ minutes leads me to believe that it’s not the issue. Thanks in advance

The next time it does this open the fuel cap and see if that makes a difference.

Idoubt it would be injectors. I would say fuel pump or as hamlin6 mentioned opening the tank to see if that helps - could be the tank is is a vacuum.
