Post helmet speakers

does any one have a reccomendations for some good helmet speakers? I only have 25 dollars to work with because I'm buying an amplifier that makes the speakers louder in my helmet as I'm running a 4 1/2 inch exhaust

If you try to amplify sound into cheap speakers, you will blow them... If you buy good speakers, you won't need to amplify them.

I really don't want in ear head phones because I already tried that and I could still barely hear it with my exhaust.

and I know i'm running the risk of blowing them but I'll buy cheap until I know it won't work out well

I'll take pictures of what I did later.

I bought some head phones, removed the plastic head piece so it was just the ear pads and velcro'd them into the ear slots in the helmet.

Then hid the wires under the padding and ran it to the front where I used 3M double sided velcro on my ipod touch and it sits on the front mouth area of the hemet.

Was cheap and works great.

Is it a jet engine? I have no baffel in my exhaust and with my iPod at about 40% volume I am completely unable to hear the exhaust, at all, with the throtle wide open... it certainly takes some getting used to... I used to drive by the soiund of the engine... now I drive by some sort of sixth sense I guess.

Are you sure the pair you tried were noise canceling and fit properly in your ear canal?

MEE M31s are $25. Far superior Bass to even the set of Bose my son paid $200 for. Fit great in Helmet and the Passive Canceling works surprisingly well. I use them with my DroidX, no issues, 1 yr warranty.

Like Mobil, I have no affiliation with MEE other than using the product
