Default Helmet lock?

I have an 02 f4i and from what i hear these bikes came with helmet locks. Well for some reason my bike doesnt have one. i have been rigging it up by tieing the helmet strap to the black bar that goes accross the underside of the rear seat. But there is no place to hook the d-rings up from my helmet to my bike. Anybody have a picture of what theirs looks like because i cant picture where it would be. thanks guys.

It's there. Take off your rear seat, and it's right on the side. I don't have a pic, but you should see it. They're just tabs that stick out about 1" on each side of the seat.

yep that will be it right there....i only use one D-ring from my helmet to lock it in place....save the other in case the first one comes off....if ur wondering, i have the quick release lock on my strap so no use of the D-rings anymore expect to lock it on my bike

Dang my bike def doesnt have that, i bought my bike with a targa rear seat cowl and i believe he had taken the helmet lock off so that the seat cowl would work. I have the stock rear seat also, but it still sucks that i cant lock my helmet to my bike. thanks guys, now im bummed. well does anybody know of an aftermarket kinda helmet lock, or maybe one i could rig up? thanks

make sure this isn't the case: the targa cowl actually uses the factory helmet locks to bolt on the aftermarket brackets for the cowl -- if you remove those 2 tabs for the cowl, you should be able to use the factory locks.

You can bolt a little chain and hook thing and hide it under the seat/cowl. Look around Home Depot for parts.
