Default Helmet?

Hows it going guys. I bought my bike back in Nov (salvage) and winter is finally over so I am fixing it up. I am almost done, but I've yet to notice any sort of helmet lock on the bike. Is there one? You know to lock your helmet on when you arent riding. If not, what do you guys do? thanks guys!

PS I have riden my bike a little (even though it isnt registered) & these things are fricken awesome!!

on my '01 you simply remove the passanger seat and you'll see two little hooks closest to YOU'RE seat on either side. you put you're "D" clip through that then place you're seat back on and wallaaaa......you're helmet is locked on. thats if you have a '01 aswell.

And very easily un-locked by someone with a knife! I cannot stand those helmet "locks" - I never leave my helmet on my bike and I don't recommend it to anyone honestly. Unless you're wearing a HD beanie lid that can be replaced for the price of a case of Busch Light!

If they are gonna cut it off it's no use to them either. That is vandalism at that point. If they are gonna do that they might as well kick the whole thing over. I have never had a problem. I would be more worried about a bird gett'n in and takin up residence.

I don't care if it's no use to them... I would be out of a VERY expensive helmet and have no way to get my a$$ home (damned helmet laws ).
Get my point? It's not about the thief, it's about me and my stuff getting stolen.

i only keep my helmet on my bike when im going to be gone for a short time and im very close by. i just carry it most other places. plus, if you leave out in the sun, its get pretty hot when you put it back on (especially here in the AZ heat)
