heads light don't turn on some times

Default heads light don't turn on some times

any one have the part number for the switch that goes bad. the dealer i use does not have a clue to what part it is..

Is it your ignition switch/starter switch? Try repairing it b/f replacement. Its a common issue.

Check all connections, etc, as well.

Trace the harnesses too, could be a loose connection or a bad ground.

Just the low beam or does the high beam not like to turn on? For awhile sometimes my high beam would take 15 to 20 seconds and a second push of the button to turn on. I replaced my headlight when I did my fairings and it hasn't done it since. I'm guessing it was a loose connection I fixed upon re-installation.

its my buddys f4i its done it two times. no lights but the bike runs...

As Gotcbr said it's a common issue for F4is to have headlight problems.

Most of the time it's a loose solder join in the starter switch. There are many posts and fixes on this a quick "search" button away.

The part number for the start button/kill switch is
35013-MBW-A12 i just replaced mine for the same reason but check your bulbs fuses relays and wires as well hope this helps

Some times the starter button sticks, not return all the way out and the lights will stay off.
So pull on it when it happens again.
