headlights a little dim
Maybe this is normal maybe not but at night time when my lows or highs for that matter are on and my bike is at a idle the headlight(s) are a little dim then when I rev the bike up like 5 rpms or so I can see them get brighter, then let off the throttle to idle they go a little dim again, is this normal or is my batter or something else going? Bike starts fine all the time even after not bein used for a few days.

RE: headlights a little dim
do u have any additions to the bike like lotsa LED lights everywhere... or anything that basically eats up power from the battery?
Since I have HID's, they eat up more power during when they first light up. I have to turn on low beam only, let it get from dim to max brightness, then after that, I can turn on my high beam and let it brighten up. If I turn both on right at the start, they'll be eating up so much power that they start to flicker like strobes and it helps if I rev a little.
Only reason I can think of your headlights getting dim is not enough power getting into it. Try see what a new battery might do. Maybe you're battery's still strong enough to start up... but it lost its maximum capacity and doesn't have enough power to run the bike and lights together.
i dunno... just a guess.

yeah thats what I was thinking... I dont have anything that would take power away from anything like the lights, I have after market front and rear turns but they are normal bulbs, not led, and it did it even before I changed from the stock turns. I know how cars have altenators (sp?) to keep a charge going.. but as for bikes.. do they have anything like that? Is that what the stator does? and could it be that? and how do you tell if that is going out, or does it just go out and you will know it?
